At the FAOPMA Pest Summit 2026 in Auckland, Pest2Kill was named one of the top three finalists for the Australian Pest Manager of the Year Award – recognition on one of the biggest stages in the global pest management industry.
We didn’t take home the trophy, but for a Sydney pest control company built on culture, care and consistency, being named a finalist means everything.
What Is the FAOPMA Pest Summit?
FAOPMA — the Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers Associations — brings together pest management associations from across the Asia-Pacific region, and its annual Pest Summit is the largest pest management event in the region. The 2026 Summit was held from 15–17 July at the brand-new New Zealand International Convention Centre in Auckland, co-hosted by the pest management associations of New Zealand (PMANZ) and Australia (AEPMA), and attended by thousands of pest management professionals from across Asia, Oceania and beyond.
This year’s theme — FutureProof: Smarter Pest Solutions for a Rapidly Changing World — is one that resonates deeply with how we operate at Pest2Kill: forward-thinking, technology-driven, and always focused on smarter, safer pest management.
To be shortlisted for Australian Pest Manager of the Year against the best operators in the country, on a stage of that scale, is an honour we don’t take lightly.
What This Recognition Means to Us
This award isn’t about one person — it’s about the culture we’ve built together.
Our Founder Julian Bracewell, CEO Phil Taylor, Office Manager Martyn Hoare and Lead Technician Joshua Huntley travelled to Auckland to represent our entire team: 25 licensed technicians and 10 office staff across five offices in Greater Sydney, the people who show up every day caring about the work, the clients, and each other.
For us, this finalist recognition validates something we’ve believed since day one: that how you treat your people determines the quality of service your clients receive. It tells us the way we do things — investing in our technicians, holding ourselves to audit-ready standards, and treating every site like it’s our own — is being noticed well beyond Sydney.
